Table Fable’s main mission is to reach out to the community, both by spreading healthy and nutritious food, but also by helping people who are vulnerable, may that be due to emotional or physical issues.
Giovanna, our baker and teacher, has been working in education and social care for the last 10 years: as a care worker for adults with disabilities, as a Special Educational Needs teaching assistant, as a language teacher and as a school editor. She will soon be starting a Mindfulness course, in order to become a certified teacher. Giovanna’s combined experience in education, social care and baking enable her to use bread making as a therapeutic tool.
A lot has been done in the community through bread initiatives, see for example Bakers Without Borders‘ and Julia Ponsonby‘s work.
